Fortnite: The Playstation Cup starts today with $ 230,000 in prize money in the September round

When the Playstation Cup takes place and how it works

The September round of the Fortnite Playstation Cup is slightly larger this time than last time. Means: This time there are three rounds that will be held on three different days (more on that below). As the name suggests, only Playstation players (PS4 and PS5) are allowed to enter the competition. All other platforms (PC, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Mobile) are excluded. The schedule for the competition looks like this:

• Fortnite Playstation Cup Qualifier 1 will take place on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m instead of.
• Fortnite Playstation Cup Qualifier 2 will take place on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m instead of.
• Fortnite Playstation Cup Finals will take place on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m instead of.

The Playstation Cup is a pure solo competition, this time in three rounds: It starts with the first qualifying round, which takes place in the “Ferocious Storm” mode is played (in this mode the storm is faster in the beginning and in the middle of the match). All Playstation players are allowed to participate. In the three-hour time window, you then have to play up to 10 games in the respective server region and earn as many points as possible.

A day later, the second qualifying round will follow, which will be held in the usual battle royale solo format. Again you have three hours to play up to 10 matches and collect points. At the end of each qualifying round, players will be placed on a leaderboard (according to their accumulated points) and only the top 50 players from each region will advance to the finals.

The September Playstation Cup Finals are a bit different as you can only play 6 total matches within a 3 hour window – the first match starts 10 minutes after the start of the final round and every 30 minutes after that a new match starts, in which you can earn points. In the end, all finalists in a region end up back on a leaderboard and receive their rewards accordingly (you can read more about the prizes further down the page). • Epic Victory: 30 points
• 2nd place: 25 points
• 3rd place: 22 points
• 4th place: 20 points
• 5th place: 19 points
• 6th place: 17 points
• 7th place: 16 points
• 8th place: 15 points
• 9th place: 14 points
• 10th place: 13 points
• 11th to 15th place: 11 points
• 16th to 20th place: 9 points
• 21st to 25th place: 7 points
• 26th to 30th place: 5 points
• 31st to 35th place: 4 points
• 36th to 40th place: 3 points
• Place 41 to 50: 2 points
• Place 51 to 75: 1 point
• Each elimination: 1 point in qualifying rounds, 2 points in finals

Should there be a tie in points between one or more players at the end of the event, the final placement will be decided based on the following criteria: (1) total points, (2) total number of epic wins in that session, (3) average eliminations in the session, (4 ) Stage placement average, (5) total seconds alive across all matches. If there is still no winner, a coin toss decides.

Playstation Cup Register – How to enter the competition

The usual official rules and requirements apply to the Playstation Cup:

• You have to play on Playstation 4 or Playstation 5.
• You must be at least 18 years old or at least 13 years old and have parental permission.
• You need to enable Fortnite 2FA.
• You must be at least level 50 on your Epic account (you can view your level in-game under the “Career” tab).

If you meet the requirements, the most difficult thing is already done, because a special registration is not necessary for this competition either. All you have to do is launch Fortnite on your Playstation, log in to your account and compete in the cup from the Competitive tab or the corresponding tile in the game mode menu. Usually the “Participate” button is only activated 30 minutes before the start of the competition.

The winnings and necessary placement for a prize

If you get at least 8 points in the first or second qualifying round, you will get the blue frenzy spray theme for free.

In addition, if you manage to finish in one of the following rankings in one of the respective regions at the end of the final round of the competition, you can win real dollars in prize money – a total of $230,000 in prize money will be awarded (excluding players in Turkey and Russia ).
