That happened: Weapon tuning was introduced in Modern Warfare 2 to provide players with an extension of traditional customization. As soon as a weapon has reached its maximum level, a tuning button will appear next to attachments, which can change various values ​​of the respective attachment. This should allow weapons to be customized even more, but there are now more and more problems.

Several players reported on Twitter that Modern Warfare 2 crashes as soon as they select a certain loadout. It was noticeable that the crash loadouts were weapons that were adjusted through weapon tuning. The problem recurred when five attachments on a weapon were tuned. This of course led to a lot of frustration among the serious players.

Here is how Infinity Ward reacts: The developers behind Modern Warfare 2 also became aware of this and have now promised that they will take care of the problem. To do this, however, the tuning must be deactivated indefinitely: “We are disabling weapon tuning to address the issue of game crashing for players with five tuned attachments”.
