Warzone 2 is starting soon: This is what awaits you at launch

Activision and the Call of Duty development studios have in one official blog entry announced what will be included with the release of Warzone 2. It’s a lot, that’s for sure.

Here is an overview of the most important content:

  • New Map – Al Mazrah consists of a few parts that you can already explore as multiplayer maps in Modern Warfare 2:
    • Al Bagra Fortress
    • message
    • Zarqwa Hydroelectric
    • Taraq (both the large Ground War map and the small one)
    • Sariff Bay (from Ground War mode)
    • Sa’id (Ground War)
  • New mode: DMZ comes and will probably actually be something like Escape from Tarkov or Hunt: Showdown. That means you compete against both AI opponents and human enemies, collect loot and have to make it out alive.
  • New Gulag: This time it’s all about random 2v2 battles. At the end, however, an AI opponent appears, who can also be defeated together to revive all four fighters.
  • New vehicles: Helicopter and Hummer
  • New features:
    • Underwater Battles
    • Several BR circles: In some matches, there should not only be one last circle at the end, but several that get smaller.
    • Interrogate: If an opponent is down, you can interrogate them to find out the location of their teammates.
    • New shops: You can buy parts of your loadout and items again at the Buy Stations 2.0
    • Third Person Playlists: Not at launch, but later there will also be the option to play Warzone 2 in the third person perspective.
    • Proximity Voice Chat
    • AI opponents in strongholds and black sites on the map. Take them for more loot.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2: Season 1 brings Battle Pass, new maps and more

The first real multiplayer season of Modern Warfare 2 starts more or less at the same time as Warzone 2. This means that the Season Pass will finally come, we can climb the prestige ranks and new fodder in the form of maps, weapons, operators and get much more.

Also provides an overview the roadmap:

Shoot house and shipment celebrate a brilliant comeback. Arguably the two most chaotic and hectic multiplayer maps are coming to Modern Warfare 2 soon. Shoot House will start with the launch of Season 1, Shipment will follow over the course of the season.

CDL Moshpit Playlist: In preparation for the raglist multiplayer, you can already throw yourself into the fray with Season 1. On the official maps with the official rules and all the trimmings, it’s practice, practice, practice – until the ranked mode follows at some point later.

Spec Ops Co-op and Raid: At the launch of the first season, a new co-op order awaits us, which we can complete as a duo as usual. This is a great way to prepare for the first raid that starts with the mid-season update.

Tier 1 Playlist aka Hardcore: Hardcore mode is also coming back at the start of the first Modern Warfare 2 season. It’s called differently now, but offers everything as usual: Less life energy, you can also hurt your team members and have to make do with less HUD help.

New Battle Pass: The Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 Battle Pass brings four new weapons, two of which can also be earned with the free version. Six new operators also include the three football stars Neymar, Pogba and Messi.
