FIFA 23: Title Update 4 weakens the best shot and brings 3 major changes – Patch Notes

Title Update 4 has now been released for FIFA 23. There are a lot of changes to the gameplay and other content in the patch – we show you the most important points of the patch notes.

When is Title Update 4 coming to FIFA 23? The new update is available now in FIFA 23. It was via Twitter announced on the Direct Communication – including the patch notes full of changes.

The update will only appear for the “NextGen” version of FIFA 23. So it comes for PS5, Xbox Series X | S and the PC, not for PS4 and Xbox One.

There are a few points in the update that could have a noticeable effect on the game. We show you the most important content from the patch notes.

FIFA 23: Title Update 4 – Patch Notes with Trivela nerf

This is in the patch notes: The patch notes for Title Update 4 contain numerous changes and bug fixes. It is the most extensive update in terms of adjustments to the game so far.

You can find the full list of over 60 major and minor changes on the EA FS Tracker (via Trello). Here we show you the most important areas in the changes.

The Trivela shot is nerfed – was the best shot

That changes on the shot: The update includes an adjustment to the strong outside instep shot, which some players found too overpowered. Shot accuracy is now reduced by a full 30%.

However, there is one exception: players with the Outside Kick Ability only get a 10% accuracy nerf.

Otherwise there are a lot of other changes, which we divide into 3 areas.

1. Numerous Gameplay Changes – With goalkeeper improvement

What changes? The list of changes and especially bug fixes in Title Update 4 in terms of gameplay is long. The following fixes are particularly exciting:

• Players could skip the power shot animation by quickly pressing the shoulder buttons after a normal shot. That has been corrected.
• The goalkeeper could position himself incorrectly after controlling him himself. The goalkeepers have also been improved otherwise, there should be fewer mistakes.
• In addition, the goalkeeper could suddenly jump in the other direction when taking a penalty, even though he was already going in the wrong corner.
• After a tackle, the ball could fly too far – that was also solved.
• Semi-assisted passes on the run should now reach the player better than the opponent.
• Improved referee logic in some situations.
• There are also many other minor bug fixes.

2. Annoying bugs in FIFA 23 will be solved

The new update now includes fixes for problems that could disrupt the gaming experience since the release of FIFA 23. The most important in the update are:

• Changed settings for the controller and camera could always be reset. That should be fixed.
• Some tasks in FUT Moments were not being tracked correctly.
• There was a bug in FIFA World Cup mode when creating quarterfinals with wrong teams.
• In addition, some players could not use the online mode of the World Cup due to an error.
• On the PC there were problems from the start in FIFA 23. There are now some fixes in the update. This includes:
  • Fixes for anticheat bugs 5 and 740
  • Game closes suddenly after launch
  • Bluetooth controllers could unintentionally scroll through the menu

Whether the PC problems are now finally all solved, should be shown shortly when more players have the update active.

3. New update in FUT menu

A small change that is actually useful and was requested for a long time: In Ultimate Team you can now track how many wins and losses you collect in FUT Champions.

There are also some fixes in Career Mode, Pro Clubs and Volta.

Overall, the list of changes is long and the update could make a noticeable impression. It will be exciting to see how the innovations affect the game.
