CoD: Warzone 2.0 is an absolute mega success

Call of Duty: Warzone quickly became one of the favorites among battle royale enthusiasts after launch, competing with giants like Fortnite and Apex Legends. The title’s innovative mechanics were enjoyed by numerous players, so it’s no wonder that the recently released, quite large update to Warzone was able to attract a large number of users as well. According to a new tweet from Call of Duty, Warzone 2.0 could be released in just five days already inspire over 25 million players.

Blizzard’s Overwatch 2, which is also a large-scale update to an existing game, has similar numbers. 25 million players romped around here ten days after publication. While these numbers aren’t particularly surprising, given that most free-to-play titles can attract an impressive player base at launch, this mass of players can always be considered a success.

It will be interesting to see if Call of Duty: Warzone (buy now ) 2.0 can actually keep these 25 million players in the long term, or whether many of them will drop out again in just a few days. In order to keep the game fun for the users, the developers should at least take care of the current one Invisibility glitch, which was already up to mischief in the original Warzone. This was removed a few times, but always made it back into the game. Hopefully Warzone 2 players won’t have to struggle with this one for as long.
