These are the first dungeons in WoW Dragonflight

As usual in a new addon, a lot of new instances come into play in Dragonflight. You will enter a selection of these during the level phase. It’s particularly worth it, because on the one hand you get such valuable equipment that will further support you on your journey and then there are special rings that you can loot in the dungeons and with which you can get the cute Otter Mount, among other things.

As you climb the new level cap of 70, you’ll find a number of exciting instances where you can earn valuable gear, gold, and experience points. In the following paragraphs you will learn more about the first dungeons in Dragonflight that you can experience on the Dragon Island.

ruby life pool

Where is it? You can find this beautiful dungeon in the region “Awakening Coast”. The entrance is in the southeast of the island, you can see the pool well on the map.

What level do you need? The dungeon is designed for five level 61 players. At higher levels, the instance scales accordingly. You will encounter three bosses.

What’s the story behind it? The Ruby Lifepools are a sacred place for the dragons. This is especially true for the red dragonflight, whose duty is to preserve all life. Therefore, the Reds protect these pools and the secrets and mysteries within that are extremely important to the dragons.

But the dreadful Raszageth and her primalists are after the secret of the pools and want to use the holy place for themselves. In order for the dragons and their mysteries to continue to thrive, you must eliminate the cultists and protect the pools from Raszageth’s influence.

What special features are there? Be careful of the eggs lying around in some areas of this dungeon. If you step on it, dangerous enemies will hatch, which can cause you unnecessary trouble.

The Attack of the Nokhud

Where is it? This instance is in the Plains of Ohn’ahra. You will find the entrance directly in the central north of the region.

What level do you need? This instance is designed for five level 63 players. At higher levels, the instance scales accordingly. A total of four bosses await you.

What’s the story behind it? The centaur clan Nokhud has a large military force and has captured the venerable eagle spirit Ohn’ahra. But this ignited civil war on the plains of Ohn’ahra, for the other centaur clans see Ohn’ahra not just as a humble spirit: to them she is a goddess.

Therefore, the other clans of the Maruuk centaur have no other choice. They gather to defy them. So you have to stand by the centaurs and, after an epic battle, put the clan leader Balakar Khan in his place at the end.

What special features are there? Except for the final boss, you can determine the order of the bosses yourself. There’s also the option to sail from boss to boss with the new Dragon Ride feature.

brackenfur cave

Where is it? Go to the Azure Mountains. The entrance to the dungeon can be found in the far west of the region, on the rugged coast of the peninsula there.

What level do you need? This dungeon is designed for five level 66 players. At higher levels, the instance scales accordingly.

What’s the story behind it? This dungeon is about gnolls. Brackenfur Cavern is the largest gnoll settlement on the Dragon Isles, and a truly dangerous place to be. Because in the cave is a source of decay.

This seeps out of the cavern and spreads among the other gnoll tribes of the mountains. The result is rot, death and decline that threatens all life in the region. So you have to go far into the infested depths of the cave to finally defeat “Faultriarch Angereye”, the leader of the tribe.

What special features are there? In order to use the cauldrons in the cave, you need 25 skill points in Alchemy of the Dragon Isles. So you get a brew that you can use to cure diseases.
