Fortnite: Rock band Metallica immortalized with a cool crossover in the game

With Metallica, one of the most famous bands in the world is immortalized in Fortnite. After some crossovers that have happened on a musical level in the past, you can now really rock.

Although there are no outfits, at least so far, that are reminiscent of the legendary foursome consisting of singer and guitarist James Hetfield, drummer Lars Ulrich, guitar hero Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo, the musicians find a different way into the game via a corresponding emote . And with that you literally let the puppets dance in Fortnite.

Fortnite: New emote brings Metallica’s “Master of Puppets” into play

With the Master of Puppets Emote, which you can purchase for 500 V-Bucks in the Fortnite Shop, your character will play one of Metallica’s most popular hits. The 1986 single is still considered one of the most influential heavy metal songs of all time and is still resonating in modern pop culture nearly 40 years after its release.

For example, in Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things, in the latest season of which metalhead Eddie Munson, accompanied by the Master of Puppets and without wanting to anticipate too much, ensures an unforgettable performance. The harmonious scene went viral and the world-famous trash metal band paid tribute to actor Joseph Quinn for his guitar part. If you don’t fear spoilers, you can find Eddie Munson’s interpretation here:

But back to Fortnite: With the new Master of Puppets emote, you are of course not alone in the spotlight. The first character to trigger the emote stands headbanging in front of the microphone, armed with a guitar, while up to three other players can join the performance, even if they didn’t purchase the emote themselves.

Meanwhile, the festivities have started in Fortnite and we have all the information about the 2022 Christmas event ready for you.
