WoW: Release speculation – when will patch 10.0.5 be released?
With WoW Patch 10.0.5, WoW fans can expect the first small update for the new Dragonflight expansion. Even if there are no major innovations, players can at least look forward to the new trading post – and it gives direct information about the release date of the patch.
WoW Patch 10.0.5 is not yet permanently available on the Dragonflight test server, it was for a few hours, but data miners are already diligently digging through the contents of the small update. They also found concrete indications of when the first patch of the new WoW expansion will appear. We summarize the current speculation for you.
Activity at Trading Post hints at patch 10.0.5 release date
One of the few big new features coming to the Dragon Isles with Patch 10.0.5 is the Trading Post. The trading post is a building with special traders who sell you various cosmetic items such as transmogs, pets and mounts in exchange for so-called trader currencies. But what does the trading post have to do with the patch 10.0.5 release date?
Dataminers have discovered several trading post activities in the patch 10.0.5 files that point to the Valentine’s Day Event Love is in the air and the moon festival refer directly. Anyone who completes the corresponding activities and knocks out pharmacist Hummel, for example, receives 150 merchant currencies per activity. The fact that the trading post’s activities refer directly to the two events indicates that patch 10.0.5 could be released as early as mid to late January 2023.
Also found in Build 47118 of Patch 10.0.5 is the achievement “The Elders of the Dragon Isles“, which is related to the Moon Festival. This is also an indication that the WoW developers want to publish the next update for Dragonflight on the live servers before the start of the Moon Festival event. The Moon Festival itself starts on January 20, 2023 Blizzard itself hasn’t officially confirmed this yet, but we’ll keep you updated on that and update you on the actual release date of Patch 10.0.5 as soon as we know more.
