In an interview on the podcast Happy Sad ConfusedBella explained that Ellie’s relationship with Dina is something she’s particularly excited to bring to life in season two. “I’m very excited, to be honest, by the story of Ellie and Dina. I’ve seen a cut together, someone has done a phenomenal edit, I don’t know how they do it, like an amazing edit to the gameplay of Ellie and Dina’s love story. So I’m excited to do that“, said.

He also adds about the increasing complexity of Ellie’s relationship with Joel and how that becomes decidedly more complex. And the violence that ensues is exciting in a way, maybe to get to explore that in a really safe environment.
