Resident Evil 4 Remake: No Quicktime Events, New Enemies, and More

Dead Space Remake: The Return to the USG Ishimura

In Resident Evil 4 Remake there are no quicktime events. Capcom focuses on replay value and flexibility.

Capcom focused on replay value and flexibility when developing Resident Evil 4 Remake. New weapons, side quests and enemies have been added.

The QuickTime events were omitted because the team no longer considered them to be up-to-date. The gameplay around Ashley, which was a big point of criticism in the original, has also been revised. In the remake it is possible to give her orders with R3. She doesn’t stay in one place, but it’s possible to signal her to retreat or follow Leon. If she takes too much damage, she will fall and need to be revived, but she will have no health bar.

You can carry several knives, it should even be possible to play the game with knives only. A new weapon is available in the Bolt Launcher that appears to work like a crossbow.

A new enemy was also revealed, this enemy type is masked with a bull’s head and armed with a hammer. No details have been released about the other new opponents.

Resident Evil 4 Remake will be available on March 24, 2023 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC and is available for pre-order on the Xbox Store.

There are also brand new gameplay scenes from the remake. You will be shown 13 minutes from the fifth chapter.
