Genshin Impact shows character teaser on Itto – But fans only hear Ayato Kamisato and escalate

A first character teaser for Arataki Itto was published by Genshin Impact. However, the teaser not only shows the popular newcomer, but also has a very special surprise ready for the players: Ayato Kamisato’s voice. Fans catapult Ayato directly into the Twitter trends and can hardly believe it.

Who is Ayato Kamisato anyway? Ayato Kamisato is the older brother of Ayaka Kamisato. He is the head of the Kamisato clan that heads the Yashiro administration in Inazuma. Ayato takes care of government affairs, while his sister, Ayaka, represents the clan externally.

The strong cryo fighter Ayaka Kamisato has been available in Genshin Impact for a long time and is in our tier list in the S tier.

Who is Arataki Itto? Itto is a funny fellow with great vanity. Even in combat, he checks that his hair is sitting well. Chaot belongs to the element geo and is an oni – a kind of demon. This is where the horns on the head come from. Arataki Itto is the leader of his own gang.

When can you get Itto? The 5-star character Itto will be available for 3 weeks in the figure action prayer on December 14th. With it, an additional, strong geo-support called Gorou is published. Both can then be drawn in the gacha banner around 7 p.m.

What’s funny about that? While the actual focus of the teaser was supposed to be on Itto and it also won tons of fans for itself, a single small sentence by Ayato drew the audience’s attention. The community flooded Twitter and reddit with the fact that Ayato was heard.

When can you hear Ayato Kamisato? The conversation between Thoma and Ayato begins at 1:04. Thoma is the housekeeper of the Kamisato clan and he addresses the “stranger” as “Sir”, so one can conclude that this is Ayato Kamisato.

In addition, the description of the Japanese character teaser includes the name “Ayato Kamisato” and the corresponding voice actor “Akira Ishida” (via YouTube). There is no information about Ayato’s spokesman under the English teaser.

Fans think Ayato Kamisato is great, even though they don’t know anything about him

So far, not much is known officially about Ayato. Neither his skills, his element, nor his appearance. Nevertheless, the fans were enthusiastic about the little sentence that the head of the Kamisato clan uttered – not least because the Japanese voice actor is very popular:

• “I heard Akira Ishida in this teaser. If Ishida is the voice actor for Ayato, he’ll be a must-pull for me, ”Enma stated for himself and has already received over 2,700 upvotes on the comment (via YouTube)
• “That’s what I mean” sums up the situation quite well: “The teaser was supposed to be hyping people for Itto, but Ayato just stole the spotlight with its few seconds.” (Via YouTube)

Speculation about Ayato’s appearance intensifies

Attention: The following section contains possible spoilers and leaks. Please enjoy this information with caution.

Ayato is said to have white hair and a uniform that looks like the naval uniforms from One Piece (via reddit).

Ayato Kamisato also has Akira Ishida in Genshin Impact, the same voice actor who speaks the character Otto in the Japanese version of the game Honkai Impact 3rd.

Because miHoyo are the developers of Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd and Otto is wearing a similar uniform that the leaker described, fans see the possibility that Ayato could actually look something like this (via reddit).

At least it wouldn’t be the first time that Genshin’s character design is based on Honkai Impact: Yae Miko from Genshin Impact, for example, looks exactly like Yae Sakura from Honkai. Or the unknown goddess at the beginning of Genshin not only inherited the appearance of Kiana (ruler form) from Honkai, but also the same voice actress.
