In Dying Light 2 there are secret vehicles with which you can even fly through the city
Shortly after the release, players have already found some Easter Eggs in Dying Light 2. Some of them are even really useful, like drivable vehicles. Unfortunately, for at least a few of them, there doesn’t seem to be a way to get them honestly.
What are these vehicles? Dying Light 2 offers tons of secrets, such as hidden safes with powerful loot or easter eggs. New videos and clips of players moving around the city in vehicles are constantly appearing on reddit and YouTube. A total of 3 have been found so far:
What use are these vehicles to me? At least by bike, the players are much faster than on foot. The two flying companions ensure a slower fall, similar to the paraglider – but they cost stamina.
The clips and videos inspire fans. But now they are puzzled as to how to get them. Most of the videos seem to use a trick, but in fact all vehicles can be found honestly in the game.
Vehicles are hidden Easter Eggs
Are the vehicles legal in the game? For the hoverboard and the flying broom you have to master some challenges and be good at parkour. The broom is even lighter: master the “Baba Yaga” challenge on the VNC Tower. But you can only get there once you have reached the Central Loop.
For the hoverboard you have to go to the Cathedral of St. Paul on Saint Paul Island. Climb the church and enter the bell tower. There you have to complete a series of tasks:
- gets a cable from the bottom of the tower
- powers the box at the top
- goes through a window one level down
- interact with the radio there
- pick up the first piece of hoverboard lying there
- uses the survival sense and follows the indicated red trail
- the second part is on the bridge in the southeast corner of Muddy Grounds
- the third part is in a trunk in the southwest corner of Muddy Grounds
The bike remains a little more mysterious. User Taki7o7 claims to know at least 2 places in the game where bikes can be found. In a video he shows one leaning against a tree on top of a skyscraper. to get it but apparently he has to kill himself. However, we cannot confirm whether this is true.
How do you still get the vehicles? Since the vehicles are apparently made for challenges, they shouldn’t really work in the open world. However, there is a trick here.
Dying Light 2 can be expanded with mods. Mods change certain game content or add new ones. In this case, there is a mod that brings the developer menu into play (via NexusMods).
Through the menu you can activate cheats (like “back then”, no tools like in shooters), change decisions or spawn items. This is how the players apparently discovered the vehicles and got them.
